Hi everyone! I am looking forward to working with children, teens, and their families!
I am trained in Marriage and Family Therapy and grounded in Systems Theory. I received my Master’s degree at Appalachian State University and obtained a certification in Systemic Multicultural Counseling. During the therapeutic process, I utilize an integrative approach that is informed by various Marriage and Family Therapy models to help my clients gain insight into their experiences, challenges, and patterns of behavior in order to enact change and personal growth. In our sessions, we will work comprehensively with all parts of your life to process difficult experiences, while enhancing relational skills and self-reflection. My work is influenced greatly by social justice, equity, and inclusion in order to create a non-judgmental therapeutic space that is welcoming for all clients.
During my training, I worked at a residential facility that focused on trauma informed care for children and adolescents while providing intensive individual, group, and family therapy. I also had the opportunity to work in a school-based setting, providing therapy and support to high school students during school hours. These experiences deepened my passion for working with children and adolescents and allowed me to further develop my professional interests.
I have also received additional training and enjoy working with members of the LGBTQ community in both individual and family counseling.
I will work alongside you and your family to discover insight into patterns that no longer serve you and work toward creating the life that you want. Even in our darkest moments, change is possible and you are capable transforming your life. I look forward to working with you during your season of transformation!
